The Primalloy™ bandsaw blade is designed for heavy-duty cutting applications. The cutting performance of the high-speed steel is greatly increased through alloying teeth with cobalt and vanadium. This offers a longer blade life, with a higher quality surface finish, increases the heat resistance and wear resistance, plus makes it easy to penetrate hard and difficult to machine materials. Primalloy provides superiority in overall wear and operating life without the expense of carbide-tip solutions. With Extended Life Treatment (EXT) functionality, the Primalloy bandsaw minimises blade replacement, thus cutting costs, resulting in steadier production.
Intenss™ PRO is a bi-metal blade with a unique tooth geometry ideal for intensive production cutting in ferrous and non-ferrous metals. Its positive rake angle and variable pitch tooth geometry provide excellent cutting efficiency. It offers easy penetration, excellent chip clearance, low noise levels, a quality surface finish and faster, straighter cuts. As a complete line with a wide range of widths an
Versatix™ MP is a bi-metal blade made from triple-tempered, high-speed steel teeth, with an alloy steel backing strip. It has a patented tooth design that dissipates stress during cutting for less tooth breakage and a longer blade life. Its special set minimises pinching when cutting structurals and bundles, making the blade ideal for sawing structurals, tubes and small solids. This blade should be used in pull-down, gravity fed machines with uncontrolled feed rates.
Intenss™ bi–metal blades have a strong tooth geometry, made up of M42 high speed steel teeth, welded to a fatigue resistant alloy steel backing. Heat, abrasion and shock resistant, they offer faster cutting rates over a wide range of materials. Suitable for using with manual feed and vertical band saw machines, as well as conventional machines with gravitation feed, Intenss is the blade of choice for contour and general purpose cutting and is ideal for toolrooms and maintenance shops.
Intenss™ PRO-DIE bandsaw blades feature bi-metal unique saw technology which is cost effective over conventional carbon steel blades. Its triple tempered M-42 cobalt HSS teeth is combined with an alloy steel backing strip for heat, abrasion and shock resistance. Split Chip Advantage technology and multiple cutting edges allow faster cutting rates for longevity and chip clearing, making this blade ideal for cutting tool, die and mould steels, stainless and nickel based and non-ferrous alloys.
Univerz™ bandsaw blades utilise Starrett's patented Twin Tooth design, bi-metal Unique® saw technology for faster cutting rates and longer blade life. Cost effective over conventional carbon steel blades, Univerz is made from triple tempered M-42 cobalt high speed steel teeth welded to a fatigue resistant alloy steel backing, offering excellent fatigue, abrasion and shock resistance.
Advanz™ MC7 bandsaw blades offer higher productivity and a longer life when cutting hard materials. Utilising a progressive four tooth grind which creates seven distinct chips, the end result is less wear when compared to conventional triple chip. The four tooth grind is very effective on nickel alloys, stainless and tough-to-cut tool and heat treated steels.
The Advanz™ MC5 delivers fast, precise cutting and an excellent surface finish. Utilising a multiple chip grind with a high/low tooth sequence which produces five multiple chips, the chip load is spread out over more teeth to facilitate longer life.
Advanz™ TS carbide tipped bandsaw blades can saw tough materials that bi-metal blades cannot cut. Advanz TS features teeth ground from high-quality, micro-grained carbide cylinders welded to a tough, ductile backing material. These carbide-tipped blades offer exceptional fatigue, shock and wear resistance when cutting difficult-to-machine steels, high-alloy metals, titanium, stainless steel, Inconel and more.
Advanz™ CS is a carbide tipped band saw blade with trapezoidal ground teeth formed from high quality micro-grained carbide cylinders welded to a tough, ductile backing material. They have a 20˚ negative tooth tip rake angle, for increased strength to penetrate high hardness materials, while providing resistance to fatigue, shock and wear. They are ideal for cutting induction hardened chrome shafts, linear bearing shafts and case-hardened materials to HRc 65.
Advanz™ FS carbide tipped bandsaw blades can saw tough materials that bi-metal blades cannot cut. They feature teeth ground from high quality, micro-grained carbide cylinders welded to a tough, ductile backing material. These carbide tipped blades offers exceptional fatigue, shock and wear resistance when cutting aluminium castings, fibreglass, Masonite, plastics, composite materials and abrasive woods. All blades are trapezoidal tooth set and furnished in welded bands, random length coils and 45 metre coils.
Advanz™ CG has a tungsten carbide grit cutting edge bonded to an alloy back. It will saw through many hard or abrasive materials that conventional tooth blades won’t cut. It is especially useful for cutting complex materials, such as steel-belted tires, composite graphite, fibre-reinforced plastics and case-hardened steels. With a gulleted or continuous cutting edge, these blades are furnished in welded bands or 75 metre coils.
Advanz™ DG bandsaw blades feature a special cutting edge coated in diamonds, which is ideal for specialised cutting applications involving extremely hard and/or abrasive materials such as glass, glazed ceramics, stone, silicon and laminated fibreglass. Offering a high quality finish and a precision cut edge, Advanz DG is highly durable and comes furnished in welded bands or random length coils.
Duratec™ Super FB band saw blades are made from a special high carbon steel with a flexible back. Ideal for economical cutting on easy-to-machine ferrous or non-ferrous metal and wood, they are available in a wide range of widths, thickness, pitches and welded-to-length sizes for general purpose contour and straight cutting on a variety of machines.
Duratec™ FC is made of a fatigue resistant material with a high silicon-content alloy. It has fully hardened teeth and a tempered back designed to handle friction heat. It can run at speeds up to 15,000 SFPM to achieve the melting point of the thin, ferrous sections it is designed to cut.
WoodPecker™ Premium carbon blades have a hardened spring tempered back and ground, positive angle precision set teeth. Available as thin as 0.50mm (.020") for contour cutting fine hardwoods, thicker blades are also available for tough tasks, such grade lumber re-saws and pallet work.
Starrett's Bi-Metal WoodPecker™ PRO band saw blades are manufactured from M42 high speed steel containing 8% cobalt. The WoodPecker PRO is specifically designed for cutting all types of hard wood.
Starrett Band Knives are made of high carbon steel and stainless steel. Available with straight, scallop, wavy or “V” tooth cutting edges, as well as with a single or double bevel. The razor-sharp edge provides quick, smooth and precise cuts, with an excellent finish.
